About me
My career path looks less like a carefully planned route and more like a maze of unexpected turns. I started as a journalist, learning to distill complex narratives into clear, compelling insights. This storytelling foundation became the first building block in what would become a lattice career — from newsrooms in New York to a Quant finance startup in Chile, eventually landing me squarely in the world of product design.
As a generalist, I've turned my winding career into a superpower. Each professional skill unlock — whether building data visualizations or navigating startup pivots — has become a unique tool in my design toolkit. I'm the team member who can draw unexpected connections, pulling inspiration from different domains and experiences into innovative design solutions. My approach isn't about strictly following a traditional design process, but finding the right tool for the right problem to build products that people want and need.
These days, I'm based in Raleigh, North Carolina, balancing work with the beautiful chaos of family life. Between designing user experiences, wrangling two small humans, managing our family's menagerie (one cat and six surprisingly opinionated chickens), I find joy in continuous learning. Whether I'm elbow-deep in a garden, trying to learn the Pachanga 💃, or getting thoroughly absorbed in Lego builds (a newfound obsession that even I find mildly embarrassing), I bring the same curious, strategic approach to everything I do. My professional philosophy is simple: every experience is an opportunity to learn, connect, and create something meaningful.
